Hello moms and dads, we hope you all had a great day! We had a fun day full of music and movements! We started our day with drawing on the blackboard and playing with the sound board. Some friends enjoyed drawing still art and others enjoyed leaf printing to put into our portfolios! After our free play, we sang and danced to a lot of songs. We really enjoyed “ 5 Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed” and “Penguin Dance”.
Esmi : M, are you the attendance helper today?

Esmi : Great! Could you count how many friends we have today?
M : 9 friends.
Esmi : Thank you! How are you today Rigel?
R : I’m scared.
Esmi : Why?
R : Because spiders are scary.
Esmi : Yes, spiders can be scary. Let’s see our emotions board, who’s surprised today?
B : Me.
Esmi : Why?
B : Because it’s friday.
P : I’m surprised too! Because it’s Friday.
T : I’m angry because I don’t eat (breakfast).
Esmi : You didn’t eat breakfast today?
T : Yes.
Esmi : Let’s see who is happy today.

Esmi : E, why are you happy?
E : Because I have a new dog.
J : I’m happy.
K : Because mommy is happy I am happy.
Esmi: D, why are you disgusted?
D : Just because .

Next it was storytime! Today we read “Elephants can’t dance” by Mo Willems.
Esmi : Who wears a tutu?
R : M and P
E : Because they are in Ballet class.
P : I am a ballerina.
R : He can dance!
D : He can’t dance.
After we finished the story we talked about having our own style of dancing and reviewed our movements with scarves to Mozart!
