Our (Early) Birthday Party!

Good morning! It’s Tuesday! The second day of our last week. Today was a special day for M and L because we had an early birthday party for them! “Good morning!” We greeted teachers and friends. After we finished our morning jobs, we started our morning free play. While we were playing, Y (M’s mom), S (M’s daddy), S (L’s mommy), and S (L’s daddy) arrived in Petals class. M and Lisa started painting their birthday canvas with mom and dad. “Let’s start cleaning up slowly and we can start our birthday party.” Nimo said to us and we started cleaning up.

Our teachers prepared the special chairs for the birthday celebrants and their families. We sang Happy birthday song in English, Japanese, Chinese, and French! “Do they look like birthday celebrants?” Nimo asked us. “Nooooo!” We shouted out and said we mentioned they need their birthday crowns and cards. Mano chose birthday sunglasses and Lisa liked the birthday hat. Oh, we also sang our morning greeting song with them. Hope they enjoyed singing with us.

“Are you ready for our game?” They asked us. “Yeeeees!” We shouted out. They prepared such a fun game which is goodie-snacthing game! It is originally called pan-kui kyou sou(Bread snatching race). There is bread hanging on the bar, and you have to take it only with your mouth, without using your hands. This time we had birthday goodie bags instead of bread. It was super fun and silly game! It was very tricky not using hands, but we all got the goodies! “Thank you very much!” We thanked to them before we said goodbye to them.

After we finished our wonderful birthday party, we had snack time and we did rehearsal. Tomorrow will be our real rehearsal day so we practiced the songs we were going to sing. Oh, before we did practicing, we had freeze dance time. Sayaka played the music and when the music stopped, we need to find our face (Picture) on the floor and stay on our spot! It was very fun.

After we finished our rehearsal, we were able to go to the park and had a great time. You know, we love our outdoor play time so we quickly got ready for the park.

“Don’t forget to drink lots of water!” Our teachers reminded us to drink especially after we played outside. Then we had lunch time!

Two more days until our big day!

Thank you all for the wonderful day! Have a great evening and see you tomorrow!

Love,

Petals
